  • Overview

    The Accounting/Office Manager is responsible for providing daily accounting support that is directly related to processing and recording all financial transactions of company including oversight on paroll and benefits. This employee will reflect the culture of the organization—creative, smart, fast, fun and all-in. The Accounting/Office Manager is typically the first person that clients, employees, candidates and friends encounter upon arrival in our office space in downtown Columbus. This position reports to the Director of Operations.



    • Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written
    • Must have an advanced knowledge of accounting software; Quickbooks knowledge preferred
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as G Suite
    • Strong communication skills, positive attitude and pleasant demeanor

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time
    • Ability to communicate effectively, with clients, vendors, and employees




    • Manage financial tracking in accounting software
    • Record agency job-related expenses and costs
    • Process and record invoices and payments
    • Reconcile accounts payable balances
    • Complete general ledger account reconciliations as directed
    • Coordinate financial reporting
    • Verify freelance timesheets, expense reports, and purchase orders
    • Prepare journal entries
    • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as necessary
    • Prepare and file various regulatory and annual filings
    • Bank statement reconciliation
    • Matches invoices to checks, obtaining all signatures for checks and distributing them accordingly
    • Reconciling vendor statements, researching and correcting discrepancies
    • Assisting with month end closing
    • Disperses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
    • Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with accounting practices
    • Enjoys being challenged and consistently seeking to improve the finance processes that are currently in place




    • Office organization and maintenance
    • Answers multiple phone lines in a timely manner and directs calls to appropriate person
    • Manages outbound and inbound mail/packages and ensures packing supplies are available
    • Embraces that our office space is one of our greatest assets and treats it as such
    • Maintains positive relationships with building maintenance and cleaning crew, and works to resolve any issues
    • Orders supplies and manages supply rooms and first aid kit. Maintains an adequate supply of all items
    • Manages filing system on behalf of Operations Department
    • Assists in asset tracking, maintenance and utilization




    • Provides miscellaneous administrative support to the Operations Department including booking travel
    • Supports coordination and scheduling of candidate interviews when needed
    • Supports account teams in setting up meeting rooms with food and beverages
    • Sets up new employee desk space with supplies
